I've been using Bipin from White Lotus Trekking for five years and he is absolutely the most personable, enthusiastic, and talented guide I've ever worked with. I take groups of 12 University Students from the US to trek in Nepal for 7 weeks. Bipin speaks at least 5 languages, knows all the locations, is friends with all the people in all the villages we visit, and is an all around amazing person. My students always rave about him for long after the trips are over.
We did have a perfect organized trekking with two very nice porters and climbing of Paldor & Surya Peak organized by ourself and Bipin Lama. Everything was perfect, nice and a fair & reasonable prize. Bipin Lama is reliable, friendly and he is forward-looking planning at local and regional level. A very good choice for any tour or trekking in Nepal.
My wife and I hiked the Manaslu Circuit with Bipin Lama, of White Lotus Adventure, in May of 2018. White Lotus was recommended to us by a doctor whom we consulted with in the States, and we trusted his advice to contact Bipin directly. I am not exaggerating in the least when I say that Bipin singlehandedly turned our Himalayan experience into a peak-life-travel experience. His spirit is gentle and fun-loving, always curious, and always excited to show the beautiful, ancient, hidden, and also the difficult aspects of Nepali mountain culture. He went out of his way to help us to engage with villagers, to share tea, to stumble through simple Nepali phrases, and mainly to laugh a lot. He's also a pretty dang good chess player... bring a mini-travel-board for hours of tea-house game time, with local rhaksi and popcorn. I'd go back to Nepal in a heartbeat, and I wouldn't even think of traveling with someone other than Bipin. If you just want to speed through the mountains, set a fast pace, conquer peaks, etc, I'd recommend finding a different guide... if you want to engage with the villagers and see behind the scenes, I can't recommend White Lotus highly enough.
